Always trying to learn something new and find an easier way to stay in touch with family and friends, we have created this blog. As we continue our journey, we will use this to post journal articles telling of our experiences and upload photos to share what we have seen!
We leave Vancouver on the next leg of our journey on Sept. 23rd. We will have a very brief stop in Europe before heading for some of our favorite stops in Asia (Thailand and Bali) and then on to our new destination...China! We are really looking forward to the sites and sounds of mainland China as this will be our first trip. We will travel from Beijing to Shanghai, with a walk on the Great Wall and a visit to the Terra Cotta Warriors enroute. The history and culture of this area have long interested us and China has long been on our list of places to explore.
We will try to post photos once we return from Shanghai to Bangkok.

We travelled for more than 5 years! We have had so many wonderful experiences and have made lifetime friendships all around the world. No amount of reading could replace the lessons we have had firsthand from people of other countries, other cultures and other beliefs. To have had the opportunity to share in the lives of others, to discuss our differences face to face and to have seen and felt the similarities of people all around the globe....These are the greatest treasures of our travels. Each time we visit a new place, the opportunity to make a new friend exists and this is a motivating as the sites and sounds of the places we head to.
